Marionettes Show & CHARLIE is a form of a traditional Neapolitan street theater that consists hand puppets and marionettes.
The main characters and the ”souls” who tell the stories are Pulcinella and Charlie. According to the old manuscripts (Canovacci), Pulcinella collides with mythical folk theater characters.
The doors open and get closed, Pulcinella falls in love, suffers and eventually wins back Teresinan’s love. The youngest spectators puts their fingers in the mouth because of the excitement, but as always, the good wins in the end. .. Pulcinella and Charlie’s adventures entertain both children and adults. The voice of Pulcinella sounds like a duck, universal and is immediately comprehensible at all latitudes.
A show of Marionettes is a little bit like a song; hum, sing, dance and let go…… “Sing, sing Pulcinella”… Charlie Chaplin says.
The show is suitable for 3-100 years old audience.
The long versions last approx. 50 min. The short version approx. 25 min
